Shipping & Delivery Policy
Cost
All Shipping, Packaging and Delivery costs are calculated at checkout, after the customer has entered their Address details and will be clearly visible before the customer is asked for payment. The cost will be based on the size/weight of the shipment and the geographical location of the delivery address. As a rule of thumb, most orders for delivery of under 8 kg to mainland UK will be £7.15+VAT, and to mainland EU countries, as a rule of thumb, most items under 8 kg will be £21.00, which, if the purchaser is based outside the UK, is not subject to VAT. Other destinations can be shipped to, and some are already in the system, but if the customer's shipping location doesn’t show up, the purchaser must first get a shipping quote by emailing sales@woodpeckeruk.co.uk before placing the order, and we will get a shipping quote for your location and add it to the website for your use. The appropriate shipping costs will be added to your order total according to the shipping weight and destination and will be paid in full before the order is shipped.
Timescales
Orders received before 07:00 Monday-Friday will normally be shipped the same day. That means that shipping will be booked (normally with FedEx Priority, but occasionally using other couriers) for collection that day, and FedEx Priority to the UK is a Next Day service, meaning it will ordinarily get delivered to a UK mainland address the next business day (not including Saturday or Sunday). Therefore, an order placed before 07:00 UK time on a Monday will be collected at some point on Monday and delivered to a UK mainland address on Tuesday, for example. If the destination is mainland EU, then transit times are closer to 5-7 days, but shipping out from our location is just as fast as a UK order. Other worldwide destinations vary, but clearer details are available by emailing sales@woodpeckeruk.co.uk or by sending a WhatsApp or SMS to +447531202427, and we will provide a shipping quote with expected transit time. Once the shipment is collected by FedEx, we have no control over the speed of delivery, but you will be provided with a tracking number with which you can track your shipment on the FedEx website. Exceptional operational events with ourselves or the courier may force a departure from this protocol, but if we expect to be running late, we will let you know via the email or phone number you provided at checkout and give you the option of a full unconditional refund or to accept the expected delay in shipping.
Couriers/Shipping partners
Our first choice of shipping partner is FedEx, using their ‘Priority’ service. This is a premium service that is fully tracked, and we have very few problems with them. The cost to us is usually significantly more than we charge you, but we stand by the shipping costs displayed at checkout, as we prefer to pay the price of quality than have to apologise for anything less.
Collection
If it is possible for the purchaser to collect the items in person from our address, that option will be available to you at checkout. A time and date for collection must be obtained by email at sales@woodpeckerUK.co.uk or by WhatsApp on SMS on +447531202427, prior to collecting the purchased items. The customer's entire personal and commercial costs of the customer collecting in person are to be met entirely by the customer. The purchase cost of goods bought must be paid in full prior to collection.
